G-OATR was the first of Aurigny’s new ATR 72-600s to be delivered from ATR. It is named after the manufacturer and was the first aircraft delivered with the EVS “fog-busting” technology that provides pilots with a clearer view of the surroundings in low visibility conditions. It was impacted by issues with the material used in the Vertical Tail Plane fitting and was subject to an Airworthiness directive addressing the problem necessitating a longer time in maintenance as the tail was repaired. It’s nose gear suffered damage on landing Exeter in February 2024 and due to supply chain problems it meant a replacement nose landing gear had to be robbed from G-ORAI in maintenance.
