G-OGFC was the second of Aurigny’s order of 3 new ATR 72-600s. It is named after Guernsey FC and is equipped with the EVS “fog-busting” technology that provides pilots with a clearer view of the surroundings in low visibility conditions. It was impacted by issues with the material used in the Vertical Tail Plane fitting and was subject to an Airworthiness directive addressing the problem but only had one upper and one lower fitting affected, and so didn’t require as long in maintenance.
