G-ETAC was the second Dornier 228 to be delivered new from Dornier and is named after the Les Etacs islet of Alderney. It arrived in September 2018 and was the replacement for the trislander aircraft on the Guernsey – Alderney route. It does not require any cabin crew but is flown by two pilots. It’s due to be replaced by two/three dry leased Twin Otter aircraft mostly due to the difficulties finding parts for the aircraft which is one of very few in service.
