G-PEMB was the first of Aurigny’s new leased ATRs to be delivered and is named after Pembroke Bay. It’s arrival was delayed multiple times but was eventually delivered by lessor Jetsream Aviation Capital in July 2024. Unlike the ‘GO’ series of aircraft delivered in 2019/2020 it is not equipped with the EVS system but it is equipped with a full passenger oxygen system. It was delivered in a basic Avianca scheme with the airline’s titles removed. It’s due to be repainted some time in the winter 2025/2026 period.
Similar to its sister ships, G-PBOT and G-ISLP, it spent most of its service life in South America. It was withdrawn from use in March 2020, when Avianca (the previous operator) chose to streamline its operations during bankruptcy proceedings in the United States and removed its entire ATR turboprop fleet.
In April 2025 it encountered a tail strike upon landing in Guernsey and is reported to have sustained significant damage. It later flew to Toulouse Francazal for further repairs to its tail by ATR specialists and then onwards to Dinard later for more repairs with Sabena Technics.
