Aurigny Air Services is the flag carrier of Guernsey and was founded in 1968. It is wholly owned by the States of Guernsey since nationalisation in 2003 and is the largest operator on the island.
The airline, based at Guernsey Airport (GCI), operates a mixed fleet of five ATR 72-600s and two Dornier 228s. It previously operated a sole Embraer 195 aircraft, but it was withdrawn from service in May 2024 and replaced by two ‘new’ leased ATR 72-600s with one from Jetstream Aviation Capital and another from Nordic Aviation Capital.
It serves routes primarily between the Channel Islands, the UK, and seasonal European destinations and maintains lifeline links to Alderney, London Gatwick and Southampton. It operates a codeshare agreement with Blue Islands on the Southampton route.

Aurigny has announced plans to withdraw the two Dornier 228NG aircraft from use by the start of 2026. They will be replaced by two damp leased Twin Otters from Skybus and will be operated by Aurigny crew, in the Aurigny livery. An additional Skybus Twin Otter will be brought in to cover for any periods the other Twin Otter spends in maintenance. Aurigny will provide similar cover for Skybus.
Aurigny will take delivery of a new ATR 72-600 to operate the Newquay PSO on behalf of Skybus. The aircraft will be painted in the Skybus livery and will commence operations from around April 2026. The aircraft will eventually be operated by Skybus Newquay-based crew.
A Titan Airways E190/A320 is often wet-leased to provide operational cover.
